The Boys Bedroom Makeover

The boys room was as plain as it could be! It needed some depth, and what's the best way to fix that problem? PAINT!

As usual, I created a vision board. I highly recommend doing this when planning an entire room. Making a visual only in my head just doesn't cut it. I was originally going to go with a much darker blue paint, but I'm so glad I changed my mind!

I got started on this IKEA dresser that everyone has. You know the one! I wanted to dress it up a little, but not in a girly way! I found these shears on Amazon that easily cut through the trim pieces to frame out each drawer. So quick and easy!

I am so grateful that Graco sent me their TC Pro Cordless paint sprayer. It is a game changer for getting the most flawless finish, and I can't even believe how much time it saved me when painting the dresser and doors.

I even went a step further with this dresser got new knobs and pulls.

Paint color is Silver Blueberry from Glidden.

I was desperate to find a way to store all of their hats, and this has been working so well!

After that, it was time to frame out the window, and paint all of the trim throughout the room, and hey, why not the ceiling too?!

I LOVE this bookshelf from IKEA. It's able to store all of the children books we own. I also got those floating shelves from IKEA too!

My boys had a set of Beddy's that were a hand-me-down, and worked great for a small time! But it was definitely time for an upgrade. I was already sold on having Beddy's for their bunkbed. It zips right up and is so easy for kids (and adults!) to make the bed. Beddy's sent me a new set for their bunkbed and it looks so much better!

I make sure to have a diffuser in every bedroom in our home! It helps so much with sleep support, and also just makes the room smell so good! I bought this bundle from Young Living because I loved the look of the diffuser (not too girly for my boys room), and it came with the oils that I already love to use! Win win!
