After finishing Teagan's bedroom makeover and barely taking a breath, I immediately started putting together a design board for Penny (you can see what changes I ended up making!)

I had already purchased this bed from Facebook Marketplace, and I wanted to plan the entire bedroom around it. Isn't it gorgeous?!

I wanted to do something different for this room though and wallpaper the ceiling! No, I had never done this before, but I was determined to pull it off! My biggest piece of advice when shopping around for wallpapers is to order a sample first!!! Which really helped me out, because with the pattern I thought I wanted, you could actually see the texture of the ceiling through the wallpaper. To help hide texture, you want a darker color and a busier pattern with less dead space. I decided on this beautiful design from Loomwell. I love the Loomwell wallpaper because the peel and stick will not ruin the paint if you ever decide to take it down. I also love the thickness and texture of it.

Adding wallpaper to the ceiling is not for the faint of heart! My shoulders and back were on fire, and I prepped my husband that it would take all afternoon and into the evening. He needed to be there the entire time to hold the wallpaper roll, while i was sticking it to the ceiling.

During the 2024 Salt Lake Parade of Homes, I saw a beautiful girl bedroom with walls the lightest shade of pink I've ever seen. It was stunning, so that was my inspiration for Penny's wall color. I chose the shade Cherubic By Behr, at only 10%.

I framed out the windows, and added some pretty, feminine trim.

I wanted some corner wall shelves to help display some cute decor in her room. I must have manifested that correctly to the universe, because instead of having to make them from scratch, I randomly found some in my grandparents garage! They were giving '90s vibes with that orange tone, so I sanded them down and gave them a nice, dark stain.

I'm so grateful to have found this beautiful art from Light Your Home. They have so much to choose from and I fell in love with this one specifically because of the small lamb and pink flowers. Use my code ANNIKA15 for 15% off your order + free shipping!

I make sure to put an oil diffuser in each bedroom in our home for some sleep support, especially if my kids get sick. I use oils from Young Living. If you're getting started on essential oils, make sure to use the code SHAREYL on your first order for 10% off, and I will also send you some amber bottles if you purchase a bundle!

I love how this bedroom makeover turned out! I find myself in her room all the time just admiring how beautiful it is!
